An elderly man has died after colliding with a car in his mobility scooter in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
The 90-year-old man riding a mobility scooter exited a service station onto Mooloolah Road and was struck by an oncoming vehicle in Mooloolah Valley about 6.25am.
The man, who is from Mooloolah Valley, suffered significant injuries and was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a 42-year-old Mooloolah Valley man, was not injured in the crash.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
