Two dozen local bands and DJs spread over three stages will head up this year’s biggest street party, the 29th Valley Fiesta.
The free, all-ages event will take over Fortitude Valley on October 11.
Hockey Dad, Brisbane’s own Sycco and Keli Holiday of ARIA-winning duo Peking Duk lead this year’s electric line-up.
They will be joined by rising stars TYDE, winner of the 2025 QUBE Effect Lord Mayor’s Live Event Award, who will open the Brunswick Street main stage from 4pm.
The action will take place across two main stages in the Brunswick Street and Valley malls, with DJ sets in Winn Ln, over 10 rocking hours from 2pm.
Brisbane City Council delivers the annual songfest in partnership with QMusic and The Tivoli.
“Valley Fiesta is an electrifying celebration of music, culture and community that shines a spotlight on Brisbane’s best local talent,’’ Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said.
“Each year, the festival draws thousands to Fortitude Valley, lighting up our streets, stages, and laneways with live music, all while backing local business.’’
Arts committee chair and councillor for the area, Vicki Howard, said the event supported the year-round music scene in Fortitude Valley, which had the highest concentration of live music venues in the country.
“For more than 25 years, Valley Fiesta has brought world-class Brisbane talent to the stage,” she said.
QMusic CEO Kris Stewart said the fiesta was a celebration of Brisbane’s music and arts scene.
“It’s a chance to discover emerging talent, champion local creatives and experience the incredible cultural diversity that defines our city,’’ she said.
