Harcourts real estate agent Mike Jones was pleased with the outcome as the house had a lot going in its favour.

No smelly feet nor socks with holes and clean your feet!

Darren.Cartwright

Now it's the middle of winter, many auctions require bidders and stickybeaks to take off their shoes before entering a house.

That can be quite confronting if you've worn socks with holes or have bad foot odour!

Maybe best to wear slip-ons and avoid bare feet and is it can get quite cold, especially walking or standing on tiles and concrete while the auction is in progress.

And maybe place them under cover in case it rains.
