THE scaffolding has come down on one of Brisbane’s most anticipated boutique apartment developments and The Courier-Mail can exclusively reveal the first look.
All but one of the five, full-floor sky homes in Maison in New Farm has now sold off-the-plan, with the second floor apartment selling for just under $3 million to a property developer, who splits his time between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

The penthouse in the building at 60 Moray Street sold earlier this year for $4.5 million to Byron Bay property developer and “spa king’’ Eddie Phillips.
Level 4 sold for $3.6 million to a Sydney buyer and level 3 sold to a local buyer for $3.055 million.
Developers Rob and Andrew Gray of Graya and Frank Licastro of Frank Developments plan to take the final apartment — level 1 — to auction on the rooftop of Maison when construction is completed in October.
Auctioneer Haesley Cush of Ray White will host the auction, while colleague Matt Lancashire negotiated the sale of the four residences.
“Entry-level housing in New Farm is so inflated and expensive that holding product is only going upwards, so we always thought we’d hold level one,” Graya managing director Rob Gray said.
“The reasons being; one, to get the best return, two, we want to auction it off because we feel the finished product will outweigh the renders and thirdly, we want to get the local community in the building when it’s complete and open it up to everyone to position ourselves as New Farm unit developers.”
Mr Gray said seeing the scaffolding come down on Maison was a milestone moment for Graya and for New Farm — especially with Brisbane being named the host of the 2032 Olympic Games.
“It’s a very unique looking building in the suburb,” he said.
“The more iconic the building becomes, the happier I am. I think the facade really shows that.”
Graya is full steam ahead with their foray into the high-rise residential market, with another two apartment projects planned for New Farm — another in Moray Street and one on the same block as Maison, fronting Bowen Terrace.
But the next project they will be launching is a 21-unit development in Love Street in Bulimba.
“We haven’t done anything in that suburb before, but it is one of Brisbane’s better suburbs,” Mr Gray said. “We saw a gap in the market there.”
“I think it’s just the next evolution of Graya. We still want to do standout homes, but be able to produce more product.”
