Police hunt: Woman rushed to hospital after Toowoomba hit-and-run

Police are searching for a car involved in a hit-and-run at Toowoomba this morning. Here’s what we know so far.

Toowoomba police are searching for a black sedan that fled the scene of a hit-and-run on Ruthven Street near Bunnings on Wednesday morning.

A Queensland Police spokesman said the woman was struck by the car at 6.12am and may have suffered a head injury.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the woman in her 50s was not seriously injured, and she was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

She said a woman in her 40s was also taken to hospital, suffering from shock after witnessing the incident.

Police urge anyone with information on the black sedan, or who may have witnessed the incident, to call Policelink on 131 444.
