A notorious rail bridge has given another truck a haircut, delaying trains going through the bayside for up to 30 minutes at peak-hour.

Emergency services were called to Pine St, Wynnum, at 8:15am after a meat wholesaler truck got stuck under the rail bridge.

It hit the bridge’s safety barrier, tearing off half of its roof and showering the road with debris.

Trains going both directions through Wynnum and Manly station were delayed for up to 30 minutes as a result.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said nobody needed treatment.

Lytton MP Joan Pease took to Facebook to report the crash with a photo of the wreckage.

“The Pine St bridge in Wynnum claims another truck. Please avoid this morning. Emergency crews on site,” Ms Pease wrote.

A notorious rail bridge has given another truck a haircut, delaying trains going through the bayside for up to 30 minutes.

The bridge has had a history of incidents involving tall vehicles that are too high for its 2.8-metre height.

A Queensland Rail spokesperson said train services went back to normal at around 9am.

“Queensland Rail is reminding drivers to be aware of the height and load of their vehicles after a heavy vehicle hit a rail bridge at around 8am this morning,” he said.

“Thankfully, no one was injured but it did cause significant impacts to the rail network, as well as damage to the bridge.”

The spokesperson said rail-replacement buses swept in to help, and that the damages for these crashes are covered by the person found responsible for the crash.
