What you said about Donald Trump telling Kevin Rudd 'I don't like you' in White House clash
Kevin Rudd has been torn apart by the US President but Anthony Albanese appears to be in the crosshairs of others. HAVE YOUR SAY
Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
Kevin Rudd and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese have been mocked after Donald Trump blasted Australia’s Ambassador in a humiliating exchange.
The US President lashed out at the former Prime Minister after he was asked about Mr Rudd’s previous social media posts in which he labelled Mr Trump “the most destructive president in history” and a “traitor to the West”.
Mr Trump, who previously labelled Mr Rudd “nasty” for the comments, said he was not aware of the posts.
“I don’t know anything about him, if he said bad (things) maybe he’d like to apologise,” Mr Trump said.
Turning to the Mr Albanese, Mr Trump asked: “did the ambassador say something about me … don’t tell me”.
“Where is he, is he still working for you.”
In an awkward exchange, Mr Albanese hesitated before pointing at Mr Rudd directly across the table from the President, saying “he’s there”.
Members of the Trump administration including Secretary of War Pete Hegseth laughed as Mr Rudd attempted to squirm out of the exchange, agreeing he had made comments “before I took this position Mr President”.
Mr Trump interrupted, telling him “I don’t like you either and I probably never will”.
Australian officials said after Mr Rudd apologised, all was forgiven by the US President.
However it didn’t stop reading from piling into the conversation.
Many claimed Mr Rudd copped what he deserved, while some went a step further and suggested he should be stood down.
However Mr Albanese wasn’t immune to criticism, with pleas for him to show backbone over the incident.
While some simply refered to the pair as Tweedledee and Tweedledum in another show of strength from the US President.

WHAT YOU SAID
Not a Rudd fan
cath
Dont worry don,we dont like him either
John@Trademark
He is the perfect example of a Labor hack.
He will be there until they turn to money tap off.
Allan
And yet, Rudd doesn’t need the money. For him, it is all ego. Australian Ambassador to the UK or the USA are two very plumb positions. In truth, he would probably be of etter service being Ambassador to China, but Washington has nicer weather.
Austin
Totally agreed, his comments made prior to Trump second term President were wrong
Ron
And I imagine that the vast majority of Australians don’t like him either
Make a move, Albo
Will
Any previous PM with some common sense would have move Rudd on long ago.
Here’s my view!
If anything, its proof that Albo is entirely out of his depth as Prime Minister of this country! Rudd has always been nothing but inflated ego, his appointment to this position if anything just made him worse! Rudd should have been jettisoned from this post as soon as Trump became president!
David
Start the morning with a good laugh. Funny as.
How quick was Albo to point at Rudd and then “Kevin” was finally granted his long-time wish of participating in a truth telling ceremony. Lucky for Kev, no pineapples were close by.
If Rudd isn’t removed, it will just further indicate the IQ of our PM.
Peter
How foolish to take Rudd along. Any football coach would have more common sense and position their players appropriately. It just shows the inability of our prime minister to read the room and adapt to the situation.
Adam
Where is Albos Australian flag pin? This is the difference between Trump & our PM - Trump loves his country & flag!
Freeloaders!
Peter Holmes
The PM did NOT deliver a fantastic world standard deal, all our PM did was sign it, the deal was delivered by the relevant government executives, their departments and the ministers. Both Rudd and Albo were mere pawns, and Albo signed it.

Albo’s a geologist, mining engineer and commodities specialist now. Actually he’ll take the credit wherever he can. Doubtful he has risked a brass razoo on rare earth minerals, if he knows what they are.

No, Rudd’s assessment of Trump was spot on. The apology is only to appease Trump for political expediency, not because Rudd was wrong.
PatrickJ
Great defence of your Ambassador, Albo. Point him out and say “he’s there”.. and let him go under the bus. How weak. How embarrassing.
Julie N.
How embarrassing when we have Tweedledee and Tweedledum representing Australia.
