It’s not surprising that Greta Thunberg has bought a keffiyeh and jumped on to the next chic cause – hating Israel
The Swedish messiah of the global warming religion Greta Thunberg is setting sail for Gaza – but there’s a key flaw in her Israel-hating mission.

What a difference six years and media boredom with Greta Thunberg have made.
Or is the climate catastrophe over?
On Sunday Thunberg was filmed sailing in a yacht from Sicily, bound for Gaza to confront evil Israelis, when …
Wait! This video shows the sail furled, but the yacht still flying along …
Oops! Another video, this time of Thunberg with the flag at the bow flying straight towards her, as if she’s sailing straight into the wind.
Tell me it ain’t so, Greta!
Are you using … diesel.
A fossil fuel?
In fact, Thunberg planned to first go to Gaza on a diesel-powered freighter until it was sabotaged.
She left in this small boat escorted by fellow activists in diesel-powered Zodiacs.
Extraordinary.
See, six years ago Thunberg, then the 16-year-old Swedish messiah of the global warming religion, refused to fly to New York to give a speech at the United Nations.
She couldn’t possibly use fossil fuels, she declared, so instead sailed from England on a racing yacht with solar panels.
The UN praised her for “refusing to take a gas-guzzling plane”, instead battling rough seas for two weeks on this yacht without a toilet rather than burn a drop of diesel.
Mind you, her example failed to catch on.
Two years ago, some 80,000 delegates took planes and cars to the UN’s global warming conference in Dubai.
Et tu, Greta?
I can understand, of course.
At 22, Thunberg no longer commands the spotlight.
Statesmen no longer invite her to scold them in their parliaments.
And global warming has become, well, a bit yesterday.
Not surprising then that Thunberg has bought a keffiyeh and jumped on to the next chic cause – hating Israel.
On this cruise she claims to be bringing supplies to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza and feed the starving.
Never mind that Thunberg is bringing just a van load, or that Israel two weeks ago eased its blockade on UN convoys it claimed were being looted by Hamas terrorists, and now lets in nearly 100 trucks of aid a day.
Never fear, Thunberg is sailing there.
A diesel-powered Greta, it seems.
What a change.
Four years ago Thunberg declared “climate change is the single greatest threat to our futures” and that fossil fuels must go.
Now Israel is Thunberg’s chief villain, so wicked that she can finally use the fossil fuels that make so many things much easier.
Like posing for Palestine.
