The ex-boyfriend of former supermodel Tziporah Malkah has been remanded in custody on domestic violence allegations involving his latest girlfriend, with a court being told it is his fourth victim in eight years.

Nicholas Patsidis stands accused of bombarding his most recent partner with text messages and phone calls and harassing her at work following the breakdown of their two-year romance earlier this year.

The woman is understood to have started seeing Patsidis in mid-2020, just months after he and Ms Malkah split following the breakdown of their relationship.

Patsidis was arrested in September this year and charged with multiple domestic violence offences including intimidation, using a carriage service to harass and breaching an AVO.
He was remanded in custody at the time but faced the NSW Supreme Court earlier this month seeking to be released on bail to care for his elderly parents.

In refusing the application, Justice Mark Ierace SC was highly critical of Patsidis’ “appalling” actions, noting he had a long history of alleged similar behaviour towards other women.

“It’s not a matter that’s confined just to this complainant,” he said.

“There’s a history that suggests this is repeat behaviour in relation to different women.”

Documents tendered to the Supreme Court during Patsidis’ bail hearing reveal the 42-year-old and his girlfriend split in August this year, but Patsidis refused to accept the relationship was over and allegedly bombarded her with text messages, phone calls and voice messages in early September.

The woman reported the matter to police and Patsidis was arrested on September 10 and charged.

He was also served with an interim apprehended domestic violence order prohibiting him from contacting the woman or going near her.

However, it is alleged Patsidis breached that order within hours of being released on bail, with court documents alleging he began messaging the woman on WhatsApp in the early hours of September 11, allegedly sending her pictures of his charge papers and the domestic violence order.

“This was the beginning of what police estimate [was] over 1000 messages, videos, voice messages and photos sent from the accused to the victim over the period of September 11 to September 27,” the court documents said.

“Many of the photos sent by the accused include his face.”

The court heard Patsidis’ alleged harassment did not just occur online either, with court documents saying he allegedly stalked the woman at Rouse Hill Shopping Centre on September 24, in a car near her home on September 25, and at her work on September 26 – the latter occurring after he’d sent flowers to her.

The court heard the woman screamed for help when Patsidis allegedly tried to block her from getting in her vehicle.

The woman reported the alleged incidents to police and Patsidis was arrested for a second time on September 29.

In arguing for bail, defence lawyer Jack Tyler-Stott said Patsidis was unlikely to receive a full-time custodial sentence if convicted of the crimes.

He said his client needed to be at liberty to get property treatment for his depression and to care for his elderly parents, who would agree to lodge a $50,000 surety and have their son live under their roof on strict conditional bail.

Crown prosecutor Colin Shaw opposed the application, alleging that Patsidis’ had a prior history of domestic violence offences.

“What the Crown says your Honour, is this quite clearly is his fourth victim in the past eight years,” Mr Shaw said.

“This is serious behaviour; it’s not a one-off, it’s how the man operates and has done for a number of years.”

Patsidis has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges but will now remain in custody ahead of a hearing in the NSW Local Court on March 9.

Ms Malkah, formerly known as Kate Fischer, is the eldest daughter of former state MP Pru Goward and was the Australian IT-girl of the 1990s after she shot to fame at the age of 13 when she featured on the cover of Dolly magazine.

She was a regular feature in tabloids during her high-profile relationship with billionaire James Packer, to whom she was engaged for two years.

She legally changed her name to Tziporah Malkah during her early 20s after converting to Judaism.
