Teague Jakeb Romeo-Togo fronts Tweed Heads Local Court on drugs charges

A man has fronted court after police allegedly uncovered a haul of illicit drugs – including vials of steroids and 1000 diazepam tablets – at his home on the Qld-NSW border.

A man has fronted court after police allegedly uncovered a haul of illicit drugs – including vials of steroids and 1000 diazepam tablets – at his home on the Queensland-New South Wales border.

Teague Jakeb Romeo-Togo faces eight charges including serious drug supply and possession offences, possession of suspected stolen goods, and refusal to comply with a digital evidence order.

He remains in custody and had his matter briefly mentioned in Tweed Heads Local Court on Friday.

On Wednesday Tweed/Byron Police attended a property on Cylinders Dr at Kingscliff near the Queensland-New South Wales border at about 11.40am.

Police stated they attended the home to conduct a Firearms Prohibition Order and a Weapons Prohibition Order.

Police returned later at 2.30pm to conduct a raid on the home, according to a NSW Police statement.

During the search, officers allegedly located a quantity of drugs at the address including 1000 diazepam tablets, 92g of methylamphetamine, 300f of GBL, 2g of cannabis seeds and three vials of testosterone.

The drugs will undergo further forensic examination.

Romeo-Togo was arrested at the scene and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station where he was charged with multiple offences, including two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a prescribed restricted substance, possessing anabolic steroids, goods suspected of being stolen, and failing to comply with a digital evidence access order.

He will next appear in the same court on June 2.
