Peter Severin has ended a 10-year stint as NSW’s Corrective Services Commissioner, announcing his resignation in an email to staff on Monday.

He soon overturned the move and pledged their classifications would never be reduced no matter how long they had served.
He delayed his retirement to manage the Covid crisis during which prisoners were able to talk with family via tablets when face-to-face visits were suspended.
