NSW Police unsworn employee charged with abusing 15-year-old girl in Coffs Harbour

A young NSW Police unsworn employee has been charged with multiple counts of child abuse offences, with the force alleging he abused a 15-year-old girl.

A 22-year-old unsworn employee of the NSW Police has been granted bail after being hit with child abuse charges.

NSW Police in a statement said the unsworn employee had received a report that a girl, aged 15, had allegedly been sexually assaulted in the Coffs Harbour area in November 2024.

Detectives from the State Crime Command, Coffs Harbour Child Abuse Squad began an investigation into the allegations.

Detectives executed a search warrant of a southwest Sydney home on Wednesday, November 3, and seized electronic devices and clothes.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man and he was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with:

> Three counts of have sexual intercourse with child under 16 years

> Three counts of aggravated sex assault - victim under 16 years

> Intentionally sexually touch child under 16 years

> Use carriage service - Solicit child abuse material

The man was refused bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on December 3, where he was granted conditional bail.

He will appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on January 27, 2026.

He was also suspended without pay.
