Mid-North Coast floods: Third person dead in NSW floods, as one remains missing

The body of a woman has been recovered from floodwaters, and one of two men to die in the flood crisis gripping the mid north coast has been named. One more person is missing, tens of thousands are isolated and more than 500 rescues have been made as the deadly weather slowly heads south.

NSW is facing one of its most severe flood emergencies in decades, with nearly 50,000 people isolated across the Mid North Coast, Hunter and North Coast regions.

Torrential rain, swollen rivers and flash flooding continue to wreak havoc, as emergency crews warn the worst may be yet to come.
