Man critical, delays ease after crash on M1 Pacific Highway
A man is fighting for life in hospital following a serious crash on the M1 Pacific in Sydney’s north, which sparked traffic chaos earlier on Friday morning.

A man is fighting for life in hospital following a serious crash on the M1 Pacific in Sydney’s north, which sparked traffic chaos earlier on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to the M1 at Berowra shortly before 4.30am following reports of a crash.
Police were told a car had been driving erratically before crashing into another vehicle.
The driver of the car — a 42-year-old man — was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the second car — a 30-year-old man — was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The crash forced the closure of all southbound lanes on the M1 Pacific Highway for about an hour.
Traffic was banked back about 8km from Berowra to Muogamarra.
BEROWRA: A multi-vehicle crash has closed all southbound lanes of the M1 Pacific Mtwy approaching the Windybanks Interchange. Use Pacific Hwy exit. Allow extra travel time.

Drivers were advised to allow extra travel time and to check signage.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.
