A Lone Wolf bikie who acted as an upline weapons supplier and tried to sell a kilogram of MDMA to an undercover cop has admitted his role in a major criminal enterprise.

Jack Andrew Mellon, 26 of Magenta, pleaded guilty in Gosford Local Court to supplying weapons and attempting to supply large amounts of MDMA.

The pleas come after officers attached to the state’s anti-bikie Raptor Squad North established Strike Force Beckenbeeni in February 2023 to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs on the Central Coast, which culminated in a series of raids, arrests and charges.

Court documents state an undercover officer (UCO) organised to purchase weapons in exchange for $45,000.

The UCO then got in contact with Mellon, who was an upline supplier and operated under the handle TOP G.

On February 26, the UCO was advised the firearms were ‘secured with one of the boys’ and the transfer was arranged the following day.

Police allege another man, who has since died, was directed to collect the cash from the dead drop and deliver TOP G his share before retaining the rest.

On February 27, The UCO had arranged the dead drop at 3:33pm and was added to a group chat on Threema.

That group chat was then used to facilitate the UCO dropping the payment in one location, and collecting the firearms from another.

The UCO dropped a Woolworths bag containing the remaining cash on Anne Findlay Place, Bateau Bay.

Court documents state the now-deceased man attended the location shortly after to collect and count the cash, before walking to the second dead drop location and leaving a Woolworths freezer bag containing the firearms and ammunition there.

Later, co-accused Mellon was seen walking with the Woolworth bag, containing the cash, under his arm.

The UCO then drove to the second location the other man had attended and collected three firearms and ammunition.

The UCO also negotiated a separate sale of a firearm for $35,000.

On March 13, the UCO was sent a photo of the firearm in a freezer bag, and was advised to send his runner to Terrigal.

The UCO attended Darren’s seafood, and walked to kerb at the entrance of the parking lot where he waved down the driver’s car and the passenger, Mellon.

Mellon handed the UCO a Culture Kings bag containing the firearm and ammunition in exchange for $35,000.

Additionally, the Culture Kings bag included two magazines containing ammunition suitable for use in the self-loading rifle, and two further packages containing ammunition.

On August 17, Mellon agreed via Threema with the UCO to allegedly supply 1kg of MDMA to the UCO on August 22 for $29,000, however a breakdown in communication meant they could not continue with the supply.

Meanwhile, other members of the Lone Wolf bikie gang who were under police investigations and have pleaded guilty include Aaron Silva, Aaron Knoll and Thomas Moloney.

Zachary Wright, 31 of Erina, pleaded not guilty to a multitude of charges including supplying large quantities of GBL, supplying weapons, knowing direct activities of a criminal group and knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.

He will face a trial later next year.
