Footage has emerged of the moment a car swerves and collides with oncoming traffic, propelling the vehicle into a home in Sydney’s southwest.
At about 12:50am on Sunday, emergency services were called to Wiley Ave in Greenacre, following reports of a three vehicle crash, which caused two people to be taken to hospital.
Dashcam footage obtained by The Daily Telegraph shows a black sedan “fishtailing”, and then swerving over a median strip before being hit by a car travelling in the opposite direction, which has then deflected the vehicle through the fence of a property and into the home.
As a result, the impact from the car had ruptured gas and water lines in the property, before Fire and Rescue cut both of the services off.
No one inside the home is reported to have sustained any injury.
Footage following the crash shows a person lying next to the vehicle which collided with the out of control car, with bystanders helping all occupants of the vehicles.
The 45-year-old driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital in a stable condition, while the four other passengers, including a five-year-old, were not injured.
Paramedics treated the 26-year-old female driver of the ute for serious leg injuries before she was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A 25-year-old driver of a sedan was taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition.
