Driver dies in fiery collision with truck at Wilbriggie near Griffith
A driver has died after their car burst into flames in a collision with a truck on a southern NSW roadway as police work to identify the deceased.

A driver has died after their car burst into flames in a collision with a truck on a southern NSW roadway as police work to identify the deceased.
About 6.15am on Friday, a sedan was travelling north along Kidman Way at Wilbriggie - about 26km south of Griffith - when it collided with a truck carrying two trailers travelling south, approximately 100 metres south of the intersection of Marston Rd.
The car caught fire and Fire and Rescue NSW personnel were able to extinguish the blaze, however, the driver was dead at the scene.
The person is yet to be formally identified.
The 59-year old male driver of the truck was taken to Griffith Base Hospital with minor injuries and will undergo mandatory testing.
Murrumbidgee Police established a crime scene and have launched a probe into the crash.
The Kidman Hwy is closed in both directions with local diversions in place.
When the body has been identified, a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
