Chef charged after man stabbed multiple times

NSW Police were called to a seafood restaurant in Sydney, after a fight broke out between two employees. One man was allegedly stabbed multiple times and another has been charged.

A fight between two co-workers at a seafood restaurant has led to a chef being charged after another man was allegedly stabbed multiple times in the head, face and arms.

Police were called to Crystal Seafood Restaurant at Carlingford in Sydney’s northwest about 2pm on Sunday after a fight broke out between two men in the kitchen of the business.

In a statement, NSW Police said investigators had been told “two employees had an argument” that had resulted in the stabbing.

“Police were told two employees had an argument before one man allegedly stabbed the other man multiple times in his head, face and arms,” the statement.

“The 63-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment.

“The 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He has been taken to hospital under police guard for treatment for a minor inquiry to his head.

“A crime scene was established and examined by specialist officers.”

The 46-year-old man was release from hospital and taken to Gladesville Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Monday.
