After booking a date with the Melbourne Storm in Friday night’s NRL preliminary final at AAMI Park, Sydney Roosters stars shared the victory with their kids, family and friends on Saturday night.
For skipper James Tedesco, the 40-16 win over Manly at Allianz Stadium was especially significant.
To celebrate his daughter Rosie’s first birthday, as well as his 250th NRL match, the superstar fullback scored a double as well as making nine tackle-breaks and running 183m in a near-perfect performance to inspire his side’s unlikely push to the preliminary finals.
Departing Roosters star Luke Keary also soaked up the atmosphere in his last game at the club’s home stadium before he joins French side Catalans next season, with his three boys Hudson, Brodie and Riley and his wife Amy.
It was a similar story for club legend, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, who is headed to the UK’s Hull KR for the final season of his playing career in 2025. He celebrated the win and last game at the home ground with his three kids, daughters Zahli and Harper and son Hudson.
New dads Nat Butcher, with his wife Harmony and son Beau, as well as Victor Radley, partner Taylah and son Vincent, were all there to lap up the win too.
The families are all expected to make the trip to Melbourne for Friday night’s grand final qualifier.
