A mix of the best young players from across the NT have been selected to take part in the AFLNT Talent Academy’s 2025 under-18s squad.

The featured players were all born in 2006 or later with plenty of exciting names including the likes of Waylon Davey and Taj Stanley.

The squad also includes one underage player in 15-year-old Hugo Timms from PINT, who was named the under-14s Lew Fatt best and fairest winner in 2024.

There’s 14 nominees for the NT News Rising Star including Southern Districts’ Dan Murphy, Nightcliff’s Hau-Tze Rock and Deacon Summerville from the Palmerston Magpies.

The Central Australian Football League’s Rising Star winner Tyreece Forbes is in the squad too, as are Taj Murray and Kalen Russell, who both played in the 2024 Marsh AFL National Futures Match.

Additionally, the roster showcases a strong representation of emerging talent from across the Territories, with players hailing from Katherine, Tennant Creek, and Arnhem Land.

The squad have begun preparations in anticipation of their first scheduled clash in the Coates Talent League, set for early May.
