A CROC has been left red-faced and forced to slither off and improve his reflexes after he was filmed being a second too late to catch a flying chunk of meat.
The video in slow motion, taken by Carlia Kate aboard one of Crocodylus Park’s Jumping Crocodile Cruises on Saturday, shows the skipper tossing a hunk of meat at Teddy as he sits on a bank.
As the chunk descends to the at least 4m croc, he opens his gob a second too late. He makes a valiant effort, leaping into the air to catch his delicious snack, to no avail.
The meat grazes Teddy’s jaw before tumbling down the bank. Teddy was in utter disbelief with his jaw agape, and what we think is a bit of flushing to his cheeks.
Carlia said despite Teddy needing to work on his co-ordination, she thought he was “a little bit of a cutie”.
