Sunday, November 30, 11am: A woman has been sent to hospital in the Top End after she was allegedly attacked by her partner, who has been arrested.
NT Police alleged the assault took place in Coconut Grove, Darwin on Saturday night.
The woman, whose age was not provided, was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for a laceration to her head – allegedly inflicted to her at the hands of her partner, police say.
The woman’s injuries were not life threatening, police said.
A 57-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is in police custody, with charges expected to follow.

Taser missed Wadeye DV arrest accused
Saturday, November 29, 2pm: Police have charged a 24-year-old male in relation to domestic violence offences in Wadeye on Thursday.
Around 3am, local police received reports a male had allegedly assaulted his female partner at their Wadeye home.
When police arrived, they found a woman with facial injuries and that the male had fled the scene.
Police conducted a search for the offender and about 4pm he was located at a residence in the town.
The man armed himself with a spear and a saw and aggressively approached officers.
Police instructed the man to drop the weapons and when he failed to comply, activated a taser but missed the target.
The man continued to attempt to evade police while throwing projectiles in the process.
It’s alleged before his arrest he attempted to steal a vehicle in the community and smashed the windscreen before fleeing on foot.
A bystander ended up intercepting the male, who was taken into police custody without further incident.
He has been charged with multiple offences including aggravated assault, breach of bail, and other associated charges.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court on Monday.

Sleeping man hospitalised after being struck by dirt bike
Saturday, November 29, 1.30pm: NT Police are calling for information after a sleeping man was struck, and later hospitalised, by a dirt bike while sleeping on a Katherine footpath.
The Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report the man had allegedly been struck by a dirt bike while sleeping in Ryan Park about 2.50am on Saturday.
Police and St John attended, and the 43-year-old man was taken to Katherine Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigations have indicated two dirt bikes were spotted riding around the area at the time of the incident.

Man set upon by group of youths with a baseball bat
Saturday, November 29, 1.30pm: A man has been rushed to hospital after he was allegedly punched, kicked and hit with a baseball bat by a group of youths, who stole his motorbike, at a shopping complex.
The 17-year-old was allegedly set upon by a group of four youths at a shopping complex on Trower Road in Rapid Creek about 10.30pm on Friday.
It is alleged the youths were wearing face coverings and wielding the bat when they approached the victim.
They then allegedly assaulted him by punching, kicking and hitting him, including with the bat, before fleeing the area on the victim’s motorbike.
It is believed the victim, and the offenders are known to each other.
The victim was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital by a family member after suffering swelling to the face and a suspected fracture to his arm.
The family member also contacted police.
Police attended and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Drug driver tries to evade cops by jumping through car side window
Friday, November 28, 8am: A motorist tried to flee his vehicle through the driver’s side window following a routine traffic stop by police in Darwin overnight.
At about 1.30am on Friday police stopped a vehicle on Bagot Road, Ludmilla and identified that the driver was serving a suspended sentence.
As investigations continued, the 42-year-old male tried to flee the vehicle through the driver’s side window before being restrained.
Watch Commander, Senior Sgt Alex Noonan said the man continued to resist arrest, before being taken to Palmerston Watch House for additional questioning and tests.
He later tested positive for methamphetamine and is expected to be charged later today with driving unregistered, uninsured and unlicensed, resisting arrest and drug counts.
Woman charged with drugs, grog offences
Thursday, November 27, 3.30pm: NT Police have charged a woman after she was allegedly found in the possession of 60g of cannabis and 30- litres of alcohol intended to supply to an Indigenous community.
Officers from the Northern Traffic Operations and Northern Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk stopped her vehicle on Katherine Terrace on November 20.
After a search they allegedly seized 60g of Cannabis, 30 litres of alcohol and a large sum of cash before making an arrest.
She was later charged with a number of offences related to the supply of dangerous drugs and liquor to Aboriginal communities.
She is expected to appear before the Darwin Local Court on January 7.

Pair allegedly hurl glasses at pub staff
Thursday, November 27, 3.30pm: Police are calling for information after two men – one of whom believed to be a 17-year-old boy – allegedly tried to steal glassware at a pub in Darwin before then throwing it at staff.
Northern Territory Police were notified of the incident on the corner of Mitchell St and Peel St at about 9.05pm Wednesday.
Police alleged two males – one a 17-year-old boy – entered the premises and attempted to steal glassware, which they later threw at staff.
Security removed the two alleged offenders from the premises and refused further entry.
CCTV operators said they watched a “violent” altercation between security and the 17-year-old boy, before he walked from the area.
Police spoke with staff at the location and the 17-year-old boy, who refused treatment for his injuries.
Investigations remain ongoing.

Man, 39, mauled by multiple dogs in Humpty Doo
Wednesday, November 26, 3.28pm: A man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital after he was mauled by multiple dogs in Humpty Doo.
Emergency services received a report about 9.30am on Tuesday that a 39-year-old man had been attacked by multiple dogs at a home in Humpty Doo.
St John NT ambulance services director Andrew Thomas said the man sustained serious injuries, including multiple lacerations and puncture wounds to his torso and legs.
Paramedics took the man to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition.
A police investigation has not been launched at this stage.
Katherine pair allegedly stole $140k worth of fuel in 13 months
November 26, 11am: NT Police have charged two men who allegedly stole more than $140k worth of fuel across a period of 13 months.
The two men, aged 37 and 51, stole about $141,000 worth of fuel between October 2024 and November 2025.
Police allege they managed to do so using a fob allegedly taken from a business on Zimin Drive and used at a business in Katherine.
Northern Investigations Section officers arrested both men after executing search warrants on multiple properties in the Katherine region.
Police have since charged both men with theft and they’ve been bailed to appear in Katherine Local Court on January 6, 2026.
