Chief Minister Michael Gunner is yet to give priority to upgrades to the Ghan’s Darwin terminal upgrades or replacement, despite an indication the Federal Government would join the party if it did.

CHIEF Minister Michael Gunner is yet to give priority to upgrades to the Ghan’s Darwin terminal upgrades or replacement, despite an indication the federal government would join the party if it did.
Mr Gunner said it wasn’t off the table but his priority was locking in the economic recovery from coronavirus and investing in things that bring extra jobs and people to the Territory.
“We need to have ambition to achieve $40bn economy by 2030,” he said.
“That is why we are big backing projects like HyperOne and the Santos Barossa gas project.

“It is why we are prioritising investment in new industries such as renewable energy, digital, and advanced manufacturing.”
