THE Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) has elected cattle producer David Connolly as its new president.
Mr Connolly, who has almost 20 years’ experience in the industry, is the general manager of the Tipperary Group of Stations, and is a former livestock and stud stock manager, salesman and auctioneer.
He said he was excited about the future of the NT cattle industry and looked forward to working on behalf of the NTCA’s members.
“I will battle on behalf of the Association’s cattle producing members, especially when it comes (to) several ongoing challenges, such as increases in regulatory costs in the live export industry that are being pushed back onto producers, legal challenges, regulations around the Petroleum and Mining Act, and ongoing infrastructure issues,” he said.
