The NT’s chief health officer has announced new quarantine and testing directions for anyone who has recently visited a Covid-19 case location in Queensland, effective immediately.

THE NT’s acting chief health officer has announced new quarantine and testing directions for anyone who has visited a Covid-19 case location in Queensland since Saturday, effective immediately.
A statement released by the NT government tonight said Dr Charles Pain was directing anyone who had been in the Northern Territory since Saturday, June 5, or who is due to arrive in the Northern Territory, and has been to an identified Queensland Covid-19 public exposure site at the relevant dates and times to abide by the following directions:
- For anyone classed as a ‘close contact’ by Queensland health authorities: Immediately get tested and undertake 14 days of quarantine at their home or another suitable place, and remain in quarantine (unless to get tested) until noon of the 14th day since visiting the Queensland case location, regardless of your Covid-19 test result.
- For anyone classed as a ‘casual contact’ by Queensland health authorities: Isolate, get a Covid-19 test and remain in self-quarantine until you return a negative test.
- For anyone else who these directions apply to: Check Queensland Health’s online list of Covid-19 case locations at least once per day to ensure you comply with these directions, if a place you have been to becomes classed as a Covid-19 case location.
