A motorcyclist is ‘lucky to be alive’ after he left the road and careered 200 metres down an embankment while riding around Litchfield National Park.

A MOTORCYCLIST is lucky to be alive after he left the road and careered 200 metres down an embankment while riding around Litchfield National Park. on the weekend.
A St Johns Ambulance spokeswoman said the 54-year-old man ended up a long way down the embankment at the Walker Creek turn-off on Litchfield Park Rd.
Luckily an off-duty doctor came upon the scene and attended to the man.
“An off duty doctor was on the scene and called and advised emergency services the patient was stable and had a hip injury.
“St Johns Ambulance worked with the Batchelor Clinic in the rescue.
“The man was transported to the Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition.”
