AN unprecedented demand for this year’s Darwin Cup Day has led to the addition of two new hospitality options for those looking for a ‘premium’ experience.
The Home Straight Marquee and the Lower Atrium options have been added as creative options to account for an overwhelming demand from tickets.
Darwin Turf Club chief executive Brad Morgan said he, like other hospitality and accommodation services, had to think outside the box to ensure as many people as possible could enjoy Darwin’s best events this year.

“This year is like no other, and the demand we have had from interstate guests for premium hospitality offerings has meant we’ve introduced two new hospitality options to keep up,” he said.
“With no international travel, we have seen first-hand the impact this has had on not just demand for us but also demand for accommodation and other services around Darwin over that weekend.”
Mr Morgan said the Home Straight Marquee, a catered marquee 150 metres from the finish line offering gourmet canapes and a beverage package, was a welcome addition the Turf Club’s packages enjoying prime viewing of the racetrack.
“This offering will no doubt be highly sought after with a relaxed cocktail setting provided and a private outdoor space to enjoy the views right on the home straight,” he said.
“This is a really exciting year, and I know we will deliver on what’s going to be a very memorable and unique Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival.”
Tickets for members in the area cost $500 while non members will pay $560.
The catered Lower Atrium also offers premium canapes and a beverage package available to members for $460 and non-members for $560.
