THREE of the Territory Wildlife Park’s newest animals are loving their new life and are ready for the public to come and watch them play.

Baby dingoes Leia, River and Chilli are just 13 weeks old and after being found within the park they have become a drawcard for families during the term three school holidays and beyond.

“Dingoes are a drawcard, people love them. They love seeing them close up because all they see out in the wild are fleeting glimpses of dingoes,” Territory Wildlife Park guide Donna Jensen said.

“They are very secretive but here you can get up close to them.”

Ms Jensen said the pups’ parents could soon join them on display for visitors to see.

“We’ve got some camera traps set up around park and have seen mum and dad,” she said.

“We have tried to locate mum and dad on the park but we’ve been unsuccessful at the moment.”

While their enclosure had been kept for another display, the dingoes were a welcome return to the park after an 18 month hiatus.

“These guys are the only ones we have at the moment, we had a special surprise coming in the next couple of months … but these guys are the priority now,” Ms Jensen said.
