SIMON Moore is a self-confessed die-hard Red Hot Summer Tour fan.
The Palm Cove music lover said he snapped up his tickets to today’s performance almost as soon as they went on sale.
“This will be my third Red Hot Summer Tour,” he told the Cairns Post.
“My first one was … near the Sunshine Coast, and it had a similar line-up, and the second was near the Gold Coast.”
Mr Moore said the thing that kept him going back was the positive vibe that emanated from the crowd.
“Everyone really gets into it. When there are songs like Horses or You’re The Voice being played you look back and you can see 600 people singing along,” he said.
“A lot of us were brought up with this music –— I was born in the late ’80s so I know I was. But the crowd has people from their teens right up to their 80s and 90s.
“You don’t get a lot of chances to see shows like this with big names in Cairns – they’re playing some major hits.”
Mr Moore said he would be making a day of it with his mates at Barlow Park before hitting the town when the concert wrapped up.
