He has been charged with affray, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and police will further allege “a circumstance of aggravation to the charge, that this man is a member of a criminal organisation (Rebels OMCG).”

Police will allege on February 4, about 4.30pm, Turkyilmaz was one of a number of alleged Rebels involved in a melee at the Logan Hyperdome, which resulted in a 27-year-old, an alleged Bandido, being shot in the leg.

Major Organised Crime Squad detective Inspector Glen Donaldson said a lot of resources have been put into the investigation.

“Violence involving criminal gangs, particularly in public spaces, will not be tolerated,” Insp Donaldson said.

“These arrests highlight the commitment of the Queensland Police Service to target members of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs. We continue to use current legislation to target, disrupt and dismantle criminal organisations that cause harm to our community.”
