The second biggest Powerball prize ever could be won next week when Australians will have the chance to nab a $120 million jackpot.
The mammoth prize is up for grabs after no player held a division one entry for Thursday night’s draw.
But despite the result, more than two million Aussies took home a slice of $47.6 million in lower division prizes.
Included in this was 18 division two winners who each nabbed $73,329.70.
The winning numbers for Thursday’s draw are 24 – 7 – 34 – 22- 13- 30 – 6, and the Powerball number was 10.
A spokesman for The Lott said another huge surge in ticket buying is expected before next week.
“In September 2019, the game soared to a historic $150 million and we haven’t seen it climb past $80 million since … until now,” he said.
“With such a massive offer on the table, we’re expecting people right around the country to be dreaming about exactly how they’d transform their lives if they won that prize.
“And as a result, it’s going to be busy both online and in-store leading up to the draw, so make sure you get your hands on a ticket early.”
