AN NT Police Officer has been suspended without pay for serious breaches of discipline and is allegedly responsible for producing and distributing provocatively worded T-shirts.
The 61-year-old officer was investigated by the NT Police Professional Standards Command after images of the clothing was shared across social media.
Assistant Commissioner Michael White APM said the actions of the officer were disgraceful.
“For a serving officer to be involved in this behaviour brings disrepute to the entire police force and this behaviour is unacceptable,” he said.
“I reiterate the Commissioner’s apology to the community for the conduct of this member.”
