THE heat is on in Territory kitchens in the hunt for our best young chefs.

The Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award is on again and with it comes the opportunity for our top young chefs to showcase their culinary talent and win global exposure.

The awards are open to teams of two, who are Australian residents aged between 16 and under 25 and are working in the culinary industry of Australia.

Those who are successful in their region’s heat get to cook-off against the country’s best chef talent in the national final at Fine Food Australia in Sydney this September.

The team crowned the 2019 national chef champions get a $15,000 culinary trip of a lifetime to North America.

The 2019 Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award is Australia’s longest running cooking competition for young chefs — offering participants the chance to win medals, gain industry endorsement and open doors to exciting new career opportunities.

Regional and metro cook-offs occur in June and July.

The national final cook-off is held in Sydney in September. Entries close May 3.
