Grace Tame has appeared alongside her fiance Max Heerey at the premiere for the SBS series “Asking For It”.

Stepping out at Sydney’s Palace Verona cinema on Monday evening, the couple looked cosy as ever just over a year since they announced their surprise engagement.

The happy couple were seen cuddling up as they posed for photos on the red carpet.

Tame wore a gorgeous red dress, which she paired with a mustard jacket, while Heerey opted for a simple blue shirt and jeans.

Tame will feature in the three-episode documentary series, in which investigative journalist Jess Hill explores the complex issue of consent and contemporary understandings of sexual assault.

The survivor of child sexual abuse and advocate for fellow survivors called for more “nuance” in conversations around sexual violence.

“Sex can obviously be a very positive thing when there is equality, the difference between sex and rape is fundamentally an imbalance of power,” she said on Monday.

“And I think that’s where the conversation needs to go.

“That’s what needs to seep into the social consciousness.”

Tame is one of several advocates to take part in the groundbreaking series, which examines the quality of the nation’s consent education.

Prominent victim survivors such as Saxon Mullins, Grace Tame, Noelle Martin and Adele (Delsi) Moleta share their own experiences navigating the legal system, dealing with trauma and fighting for change.

‘Asking For It’ will premiere on Thursday April 20 at 8.30pm on SBS.
