TWO members of the Mongols bikie gang have been arrested and charged with drug offences after raids on the Gold Coast today, according to Queensland Police.

It comes as detectives continue to investigate the execution-style slaying of notorious Finks bikie Shane Bowden, who was gunned down at his Pimpama home on Monday.

Officers from Taskforce Maxima and the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad carried out a search warrant at a Labrador home and allegedly found steroids, a small amount of cannabis, cash and mobile phones.

Police have charged a Coomera man, 31, with trafficking dangerous drugs and he’s due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A Labrador man, 30, has been charged with five counts of possessing dangerous drugs, three counts of contravening an order to provide access to information stored electronically and one count of possession of utensils.

He’s due to face the same court in Southport on October 29.

Police arrested a third member of the Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang, but they were released without being charged.

South east region crime squad Acting Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said in a statement police “remain steadfast in our commitment to addressing the threat of serious and organised crime to keep our community safe”.

“We will continue to proactively target members of outlaw motorcycle gangs,” he said.

“If you are a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang and wish to engage in criminal behaviour, Queensland Police will be unrelenting in bringing you to justice.

“I encourage anyone with information relating to those involved in criminal and gang activity to contact Crime Stoppers.”
