A fourth victim who escaped a murderous raid in Bali can be revealed.
Daniella Gourdeas was in Bali to celebrate her sister Jazmyn’s 30th birthday with her partner, Sanar Ghanim.
Daniella, a Melbourne woman who runs a cosmetic clinic in South Yarra, managed to escape the violent attack.
Her sister, Jazmyn, hid under covers in a bedroom of the luxury Badung villa as the gunmen executed her husband, 32-year-old Zivan Radmanovic.
Ghanim, 34, was shot but survived the brutal raid on June 14.
Bali Police took a statement from (Daniella) Gourdeas who said she was sleeping when she heard an “explosion” from inside the villa.
She has described the intruder as wearing a mask, helmet and a green jacket as he attempted to enter her room.
She recalled to police gunshots being fired outside her room and a window being shattered just past midnight.
Daniella told police she fled as a gunman entered her room.
She then ran past two scooters parked outside the villa as more gunshots rang out.
Later, Gourdeas returned to the villa after asking someone for help and it was “deemed safe”.
Police have arrested three Australian suspects who could face the firing squad if found guilty of premeditated murder.
Bali Police Sen Commissioner Ariasandy said investigators returned to the crime scene on Friday.
Three Australian suspects remain under arrest in Bali – Darcy Francesco Jenson, 27, Coskun Mevlut, 23, and Tupou Pasa Midolmore.
Melbourne man Ghanim was discharged from hospital just days after the shooting.
And both he and Gourdeas remain under police watch, according to Badung Police Chief Arif Barbara.
“Yes, after the incident, the victim Sanar was observed at BIMC Hospital,” he said. “Afterward, they stayed in a villa for recovery. We, the police, continue to monitoring the victim’s safety, including his wife, Daniella, as we fear she could be the next target.
“From Badung Police, we continue to carry out routine patrols around the villa where they are staying,”
Investigators have been handed the results of Radmanovic’s autopsy.
Police say they are also processing CCTV footage taken just prior and after the assailants allegedly stormed the villa using a sledgehammer where the four victims were staying.
Its alleged scooters and a white SUV were used by the three men in their escape plan.
Police say Jenson, a former Sydney plumber, was arrested at Jakarta’s Soekharno Hatta Airport while his two alleged accomplices flew to Cambodia via Singapore before being stopped and flown back to Indonesia.
Investigators are still searching for a murder weapon.
