Trump and tariffs become the hot debate

Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton have sparred on nuclear, Indonesia-Russia and housing, while Donald Trump dominated the closing stages of the campaign’s second leaders’ debate.

The debate took place amid heightened security after around 100 pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the ABC studio in western Sydney.

Mr Albanese and Mr Dutton clashed over their respective housing policies while both tried to claim they were the more fiscally responsible.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has once again failed to answer when power bills will fall for households and businesses.
