Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been turned in to the “Easter Al-Bunnyese” as both leaders continue to make promises worth millions of dollars to Australian voters.
The cartoon, drawn and published today by Herald Sun cartoonist Mark Knight, said he hoped we as taxpayers “don’t have egg on our faces” after the election.

“It’s Easter time and I hope the Easter Bunny has paid you all a visit this weekend,” said Knight.
“Of course there is another bunny travelling around the country at the moment delivering handouts to absolutely everybody – and that would be the Prime Minister, who I’ve called the Easter Al-Bunny-Ese.
“Well you might see him hopping through your neighbourhood as he goes from electorate to electorate during this campaign, giving handouts to anybody who is close by.
“So good luck – you might be on the receiving end.”
The depiction of Mr Albanese as a caricature of an Easter bunny comes a day after he drew Opposition leader Peter Dutton praying for an Easter miracle in Church on Good Friday.
Both leaders hit out at each other with their scare campaign tactics as they visited the Royal Easter Show in Sydney on Saturday.
The two men went separately to the historic agricultural fair, where they got up close and personal with a goat and an alpaca that once sneezed on King Charles.
Mr Dutton announced $20m in funding for upgrading regional showgrounds, while Mr Albanese and fiancee Jodie cuddled baby goats.
