LNP veteran Scott Buchholz has been voted back by residents in this semi-rural electorate multiple times since 2010.It’s currently classed as “safe’’ with a 10.9 per cent margin.

Wright stretches from the western Gold Coast through rural parts of Logan City, down to the NSW border and west to the Lockyer Valley, taking in the regional towns of Beaudesert, Jimboomba, Boonah, Laidley, Hatton and Helidon.

The eight candidates in ballot paper order are: Natalie Davis (Pauline Hanson’s One Nation); Nicole Thompson (Greens); Julie Rose (Family First); Scott Thompson (Trumpet of Patriots); Scott Buchholz (LNP); Pam McCreadie (ALP); Chloe Leeanne Snyman (Animal Justice Party); Justin McGuiness (Gerard Rennick People First).
