DESPITE accusing the Liberal and Labor parties of conjuring up dirty preference deals, the Greens have announced they will preference the Opposition in all but 11 seats in all states.

They will also preference Labor ahead of the Coalition in the Senate in every state, in an attempt to stop the Coalition gaining control.

Despite accusing Labor of running a “vicious campaign” against them throughout the election campaign, the Greens insisted Labor was a better choice than the Coalition.

In Townsville yesterday Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said he wasn’t surprised, saying: “They sail together.”

It comes as senate candidate Pauline Hanson said she had been getting calls from Liberal Party candidates asking for preference deals.

Ms Hanson said she has been personally approached about a Lower House preference deal in Queensland, while one of her senate candidates, Simon Roylance, had been approached in Victoria.

She also said she had been approached by Labor about a deal but they denied the claim.

The ALP yesterday said it would put One Nation last on all preferences while the LNP said it would not preference Ms Hanson in the Senate.
