Peter Dutton slams Penny Wong and Labor's 'secret plan' to legislate the Voice

Peter Dutton has claimed Labor has a “secret plan” to resurrect the Voice to Parliament, amid uproar over Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong’s comments likening it to the fight for marriage equality.

But Anthony Albanese said the government was working towards “practical reconciliation” after the Voice referendum was lost – as he advised journalists not to “verbal” Penny Wong.

The PM has used a speech at the National Press Club to goad Mr Dutton, claiming he had spent “so much time telling everyone how tough (he) is” but wouldn’t face the scrutiny of journalists in the final days of the campaign.
