Ex-NRL player Denan Kemp isn’t just offering a great place to watch sport with his new bar — he’s bringing the stars to the patrons.
The former winger for the Brisbane Broncos and Warriors opened his Bloke in a Bar venue on Friday. It features a glass-walled studio in the centre where he will interview NRL players.
Mr Kemp retired from playing in 2014 and since has had an online show The Locker Room, chatting with past and present players.
He promises pre-game analysis and insights from the bar’s studio booth every week plus interviews with big names of the game and other codes.
“Once a week we’ll have NRL players doing pre-game chats and Q & As.”
Gold Coast Titans including senior stars Ryan James and Kevin Proctor dropped in on Saturday night.
The bar has four big TV screens and its own range of Bloke in a Bar beers on tap.
