Exclusive: A former private schoolboy has confessed to harassing ex-girlfriend and threatening to crush her spine, dissect her feet and string her up with hooks if she cheated on him.

Ethan Ungerboeck, 20, pleaded guilty in Sydney’s Waverley Local Court last week to stalking or intimidating his ex-girlfriend, who this masthead has chosen not to name, with intent to cause fear of physical or mental harm.

According to court documents, the Scots College alumni was unemployed and living between his family’s Sanctuary Point property, on the NSW south coast, and their $5m Maroubra mansion between March and April this year when he started harassing a woman he briefly dated.

He controlled the music she listened to and the people she saw and spoke to, the documents read.

Three months into the relationship, he sent her a text saying: “I’ll crush your spine, if you cheat then dissect your feet, attach hooks and hang you upside-down from the feet”.

The woman replied, “wtf, Ethan that’s a bit far”.

Ungerboeck replied: “I think its fair”.

She replied: “wtf, Umm bye”.

The woman continued to message Ungerboeck to figure out if his threat was serious. He told her: “I’m Joking but I’m not”.

She ended the relationship in August and blocked his number, but he paid no attention and started calling her from various pay phones to talk about mundane activities.

The woman told him not to contact her again, and threatened to take out an apprehended domestic violence order if he refused.

She told police that she was terrified he would break into her home and seriously harm her, or kill her, and started regularly checking her doors and windows.

He was arrested at the Sanctuary Point address on October 1 and taken to Nowra Police Station.

Police had concerns he would act on his threats and took out an ADVO for the protection of the victim.

He will be sentenced on November 13 and will remain on bail with strict conditions.

Ungerboeck is not allowed to leave his parents’ mansion without one of them accompanying him, and that he must comply with a curfew.

He must present himself at the front door of the home for a curfew check and a drug and alcohol swab by police up to once a day, seven days a week.

He is banned from drinking alcohol, taking drugs, and using gaming platforms. Police can enter the home and check his devices to ensure he complies with this condition.

He is also not allowed to be in the company of anyone under 18 without adult supervision.
