DREAMWORLD will throw open its doors to those living with autism today in honour of World Autism Awareness Day.

People living on the spectrum will be given free access to the theme park from today through to Tuesday, along with half-price entry for family and friends.

Dreamworld chief operating officer Paul Callander said guests will get the VIP treatment with exclusive early-access from 9.30am each day, as well as special meet and greets and the ability to jump the queue.

“Together we show our support, acceptance and inclusion of people on the autism spectrum today and every other day at Dreamworld and SkyPoint,” he said.

The Q1 SkyPoint tower will be lit up blue on Tuesday and those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder will also get free entry until Tuesday.

Autism Queensland chief executive officer Pam Macrossan said it was great to see the ways people were embracing the day.

“Dreamworld have been most generous in their efforts to create a special opportunity for people on the spectrum and their families on and around this date, and we wish them all the best.”
