OVER the weekend, significant changes to how cafes, restaurants and pubs operate have been made in response to coronavirus, changing the way we eat, drink and socialise.

From midday Monday, pubs, clubs, cafes, restaurants, gyms, casinos, and many other sites of indoor gatherings were closed or restricted for at least a month to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Some NT cafes are already bringing in measures to adapt.

So far, Roma Bar has adopted a cold kitchen model, preparing five two-person meal packs to be delivered to their customers for $150, while it is also still serving takeaway coffee and treats.

However it is no longer accepting keep cups.

Cafe Central in Rapid Creek will also be going full takeaway from midday, with an altered menu and easier ordering and payment options to help customers and staff adjust to the new procedures.
