Selected by a panel of judges, including current titleholder Taylah Cannon, the winners came from Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Townsville, Cairns and the Sunshine Coast. For some reason, there’s also Byron Bay’s Lily Buhl, 20, the girlfriend of Married At First Sight contestant Billy Vincent.

Queensland has won five of the past six years.

“I think there’s something in the water here for sure. We have had more winners than any state and it’s looking really promising. There’s a lot of diversity this year,” Gold Coaster Cannon said.

The crowning ceremony will for a second year be held at Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast on July 19, having moved to Queensland from Melbourne in 2018.

The winner will represent Australia at the final in Thailand on December 7.
