Body of elderly woman found dead at Broadwater Parklands
Police are appealing for help to identify the body of an elderly woman found in a Gold Coast park.

POLICE are calling on the public to help identity a woman who was found dead on the Gold Coast on Thursday.
A shoeless elderly woman found dead by a resident of a nearby high-rise unit around the Sundale Bridge at Broadwater Parklands.
The body of the woman was discovered about 10.30am and Queensland Police officers arrived at the scene off the Gold Coast Highway at Southport about 20 minutes later.
Police do not believe the woman’s death is suspicious but they have been unable to identify who the woman is as she did not have any identification on her when found.
No missing persons reports have been filed on her.
Police have been doorknocking since the discovery but have had no success.
They are appealing to people to check on the welfare of their elderly neighbours or relatives particularly those living alone.

The woman is described as having a caucasian appearance, around 75 to 80 years old with short grey hair and was wearing a purple and white floral buttoned shirt and dark blue long pants and no shoes.
