Several foreigners, including one identified as an Australian, have been involved in a shocking melee in Bali. Watch the video.

Indonesian police are investigating a brawl outside a Bali beach club which involved foreigners, including one identified as Australian.

The Bali Times reports Badung Police are looking into the fight which occurred on Tuesday night outside Finns Beach Club.

No charges have been laid over the shocking melee which was captured on camera and quickly went viral on Indonesian social media accounts.

The video shows shirtless men carrying what appear to be planks of wood involved in an altercation with the security guards.

Badung Police Public Relations Officer, Ipda Putu Sukarma, told the Bali Times the incident started around 9.40pm when an Aussie tourist, who they have dubbed LD, accidentally bumped into a woman seated at another table.

The incident lead to a “heated argument”, Mr Sukarma said.

“LD then grabbed another guest by the neck. Security intervened to break up the fight.”

Mr Sukarma said when security were unable to calm down the Aussie, they attempted to escort him out of the venue.

Mr Sukarma said the Australian man was allegedly joined by four of his friends at 9.55pm.

The nationality of the friends has not yet been confirmed.

They launched an attack before fleeing north toward Jalan Pantai Berawa, Mr Sukarma said.

Mr Sukarma said four security guards have allegedly been injured, including one who suffered broken teeth, a nosebleed and a head injury severe enough to warrant treatment at nearby Hydro Medical Bali Clinic.

Another allegedly suffered a bite mark to his hand and the security guards received bruising, swelling and abrasions.

He added that authorities would continue to review footage of the brawl and gather witness statements.
