A man has been injured after a power pole fell over and struck him in a tree-lopping accident on the Gold Coast.

A man has been injured in a tree-lopping accident on the Gold Coast.
Tree-loppers were working on Old Burleigh Rd at Broadbeach just after 9am on Monday when a large branch fell and hit a power pole, knocking it over.
The pole then struck a man on the ground, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
She said the man luckily escaped serious injury and was being treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
It’s unclear if the victim was a tree-lopper or a bystander.
