Queensland Ambulance have advised a man in his 50s was taken to hospital after his vehicle struck at cow at Cloncurry.
The incident occurred at around 10:48pm on Thursday night on the Barkly Highway, where it is understood the vehicle hit a cow on the road.
The man suffered “significant head injuries” and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Snake bite at Rangewood
A woman has been taken to hospital after she was bitten by a snake in Rangewood.
The woman in her 40s was reportedly bitten by the snake at a private residence at 7:15pm on Thursday night.
She was taken to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
